NBA scouts are treated to an outstanding matchup at the combo forward position between Devin Robinson and Sindarius Thornwell. Both have had breakout NCAA Tournaments, although Thornwell has had arguably more impact than any player in March thus far, and has made a strong case for himself to hear his name called in June.
Thornwell had another huge game on Friday in a resounding victory over Baylor, making plays all over the floor. He hit four of his ten 3-point attempts, and showed an outstanding feel for the game rebounding, coming up with steals, and finding opportunities to attack off the dribble in the half and full court. While he's not the quickest or most explosive player around, and isn't someone you want creating a great deal of offense going one on one from behind the 3-point line, he has excellent ball-handling skills and finds ways to create space with strength, aggressiveness, change of speeds and polished footwork. His unselfishness moving the ball ahead in transition, and making the simple play within the set offense really stood out. While his jump-shot is highly unconventional, with the excessive amount of side-spin he gets on it, he clearly has soft touch, and even found ways to make some pull-up jumpers. Thornwell will have to deal with a much bigger and longer defender in Devin Robinson, but may see some minutes guarding the highly explosive Kevaughn Allen, who is Florida's best athlete and most dynamic scorer.

A rematch of the mid-December neutral floor contest in Las Vegas where Malik Monk had a coming out party by scoring 47 points, this has the potential to be an epic game between two storied programs.
Justin Jackson had 34 points on 17 shots against Kentucky last time around, and should have a significant size advantage over the likes of Isaiah Briscoe and Dominique Hawkins, who will be tasked with slowing him down. Jackson is having an excellent NCAA Tournament so far, amassing 60 points, 20 rebounds and 13 assists while shooting 10/24 from behind the 3-point line in three games. He's bounced back from a difficult stretch prior to that in which he couldn't find the range on his jump-shot, but is making 38% of his attempts on a whopping 7.1 attempts per game.
After combing to score 60 points against UCLA, how much offense can Kentucky's freshman backcourt duo of Malik Monk and De'Aaron Fox pump in against a much better defense? Can they find some more help, especially from the likes of Bam Adebayo and Briscoe, who had just 7 points on 10 field goal attempts on Friday? Adebayo will have to be much more focused and consistent on the offensive glass than he's been throughout his career thus far, as UNC does a great job of getting second chances.
