2014 Nike Hoop Summit International Roster Breakdown

Jahlil Okafor
Weight: 272 lbs.
Height (w/ shoes): 6'10.75"
Wingspan: 7'5"
Standing Reach: 9'2.5”

-Jahlil Okafor may not be a 7-footer, but he has very good physical attributes for a center prospect. His closest physical comparison is DeMarcus Cousins, who measured 6'10.75” in shoes with a 7'5.75” wingspan at 292 pounds. Okafor has an amazing frame with tree trunk legs and an upper body that still has room to fill out. Having improved his conditioning and shedding some body fat over the last year, it will be interesting to see where Duke's strength and conditioning program has the big man next fall.

Cliff Alexander
Weight: 251 lbs.
Height (w/ shoes): 6'8"
Wingspan: 7'3.5"
Standing Reach: 9'0”

-Cliff Alexander doesn't have elite size for a power forward prospect, but he has good length and outstanding strength for a player still months away from playing in his first college game. As a point of reference on just how strong Alexander is, his measurements match up exceptionally with Ike Diogu who stood 6'8” in shoes with a 7'3.5” wingspan weighing 255 when he entered the draft in 2005.

Myles Turner
Weight: 242 lbs.
Height (w/shoes): 6'11.5"
Wingspan: 7'3.75"
Standing Reach: 9'1.5”

-Standing just a shade under 7-feet tall with shoes on, Myles Turner measures similarly to LaMarcus Aldridge who stood 6'11.25” with a 7'4.75” wingspan weighing 234 pounds back in 2006. Though Turner doesn't move as well as Aldridge, he has NBA size and a frame that has come a long way since he emerged on the recruiting radar. It will be interesting to see how much more weight his frame can carry.

Tyus Jones
Weight: 184 lbs.
Height (w/ shoes): 6'1.25"
Wingspan: 6'3"
Standing Reach: 7'10.5”

-Tyus Jones is not the same level of athlete as Chris Paul, but he does possess similar physical size. Paul stood 6'1” in shoes with a 6'4.25” wingspan at 178 pounds in 2005. His size is not a big part of why he's so highly regarded, he's a very skilled player who plays with a unique maturity for a young guard.

Stanley Johnson
Weight: 237 lbs.
Height (w/shoes): 6'7"
Wingspan: 6'11"
Standing Reach: 8'7.5”

-Stanley Johnson would rank among the heaviest players among small forward prospects drafted in the first round before ever seeing a college weight room. He is roughly the same size as Martell Webster, who measured 6'7.5” in shoes with a 6'11” wingspan and a 230 pound frame. It will be interesting to see just how strong Johnson can become over the years, as he already looks like a NBA veteran from a physical standpoint.

Kelly Oubre
Weight: 204 lbs.
Height (w/shoes): 6'6.5"
Wingspan: 7'2"
Standing Reach: 8'8”

-Kelly Oubre has length akin to that of Kawhi Leonard, who stood 6'7” in shoes with a 7'3” wingspan coming into the 2011 draft. Leonard had a more mature frame weighing 227 pounds, but Oubre has the same type of unique wingspan.

Justise Winslow
Weight: 221 lbs.
Height (w/ shoes): 6'6"
Wingspan: 6'10"
Standing Reach: 8'7”

-Justise Winslow doesn't share Oubre's length, but he has terrific physical strength for a small forward prospect, even if he lacks elite size.

Theo Pinson
Weight: 188 lbs.
Height (w/ shoes): 6'6"
Wingspan: 6'11"
Standing Reach: 8'7.5”

Reid Travis
Weight: 241 lbs.
Height (w/ shoes): 6'8"
Wingspan: 7'0"
Standing Reach: 8'8.5”

-Reid Travis has solid size for a power forward prospect, but its his chisel frame that stands out among his peers.

James Blackmon
Weight: 184 lbs.
Height (w/shoes): 6'3"
Wingspan: 6'8.5"
Standing Reach: 8'4”

Joel Berry
Weight: 185 lbs.
Height (w/ shoes): 6'0"
Wingspan: 6'3.25"
Standing Reach: 7'8”
